Prayer for the Season of Lent

Gracious and Merciful God,
we come before You in this holy season of Lent with humble hearts and quiet spirits. You are the Creator of all things, slow to anger and rich in steadfast love, and we thank You for Your unending grace.

Lord, during this season of reflection, reveal to us the ways we have wandered from Your will. We confess our pride, our impatience, and the times we have chosen comfort over obedience. Cleanse us, O God, and renew a right spirit within us.

As we journey toward the cross, help us to walk in repentance and faith. Teach us to let go of distractions and to fast from anything that separates us from You. Draw us closer through prayer, Scripture, and acts of compassion toward others.

We lift up those who are suffering in body, mind, or spirit. Bring comfort to the sick, peace to the anxious, hope to the weary, and justice to the oppressed. Use us as instruments of Your mercy and love in a broken and hurting world.

Lord Jesus, You walked the path of suffering and sacrifice out of love for the world. Shape our hearts to reflect Your humility, Your obedience, and Your self-giving love. May our lives bear fruit that glorifies You.

As we continue this Lenten journey, prepare us to receive the joy of resurrection with grateful hearts and transformed lives. We place our trust in You alone, now and forever.

We offer this prayer in the name of Jesus Christ, our Savior.
